About David
As a wealth advisor at Buckingham Strategic Wealth, Dave Ressner strives to enrich his clients’ lives. Financially, that means helping minimize their taxes, protecting their wealth and preventing them from jeopardizing their financial security. Personally, that means giving them the freedom to pursue their passions and enjoy their lives.
Prior to joining Buckingham, David was president of Ressner Financial Planning LLC. He has also held financial advisor positions at American Express Financial Advisors (now Ameriprise) and IDS Life Insurance Company.
He was attracted to Buckingham’s fiduciary duty and compensation structure that aligns the firm’s interests with clients’ best interests. Its investment strategy, built on evidence, patience and prudence, is the one he uses for his own family.
Dave earned his bachelor’s degree from Grinnell College in Iowa, where he was an All-American swimmer. He received his master’s degree from the University of Missouri in Columbia. In 2001, he passed the National Association of Securities Dealers Series 7 examination and the North American Securities Administrators Association Series 6 examination.
