About Grant

In his role as a retirement plan advisor Grant helps to support retirement plan participants, as well as advisors that administer retirement plans, serves a liaison with recordkeepers and TPA’s, helps place trades for participants in 401(k) plans and generally works to keep the team organized. No two days are the same and he loves the variety that comes with the job!

Grant is also the first point of contact for plan participants that have questions about anything from account balances to investment allocations or contribution rates. He supports those participants that aren’t sure if their investments make sense for them. Through discovery and collaboration Grant can provide personalized guidance on what makes the most sense given a participant’s goals and circumstances. He brings peace of mind to an area of financial planning that can weigh heavy on a client.

As pensions are becoming rarer, and the focus of retirement savings has shifted from the employer to the employee, many do not feel prepared for retirement. Being able to bring a deep level of advice and guidance to a plan participant and see their face light up when they realize they are on track, and know what to do to stay on track, is what inspires Grant each day. He gets excited to help someone with a topic most never want to talk about (money) and give them advice on how to be their best financial selves.

Prior to joining Buckingham in 2018 Grant previously held roles at Schuster Financial Services and Anheuser-Busch InBev. He earned his bachelor’s degree from the University of Missouri – Columbia and is a Chartered Retirement Plan SpecialistSM.

Grant is a St. Louis native and spends his free time exercising and reading. He’s recently taken up cooking - due to the pandemic - and his favorites have become chicken pot pie and brownies. After work he likes to unwind with a glass of wine and an episode of The Office or Parks and Recreation – he’s a big Amy Poehler fan.
