About Kurt
As a former minor league pitcher, Kurt witnessed several teammates being taken advantage of financially. The players would turn over their financial lives to people who didn’t explain how they planned to help meet the players’ financial goals. That experience motivated Kurt to make finance his career, so he could help people understand the financial markets and the science behind investing.
As a client development advisor, Kurt works with a team focused on delivering an outstanding experience for our clients as they begin their relationship with Buckingham. The most rewarding part of Kurt’s day is collaborating with clients and advisors to develop creative solutions and find the ideal fit based on their unique goals and circumstances.
Kurt received a bachelor’s degree in finance from Michigan State University, where he helped the baseball team earn a conference championship. He received the Rolan Hemond Award Scholarship and earned an MBA from the University of Phoenix while playing minor league baseball. Kurt has passed the Series 7 and Series 66 exams. He earned his Chartered Financial Analyst designation in 2017 and his Certified Financial Planner™ professional designation in 2018.
Kurt lives in his hometown of St. Louis with his wife and two daughters. He works with several charitable organizations. He is an elder at the First Presbyterian Church of Kirkwood and a member of the F3 Foundation Advisory Council. In his spare time, he enjoys working out with F3, playing golf and tennis, cooking, traveling and watching sports.
