About Mark

Mark Pitcher is passionate about finding meaningful ways to positively impact the lives of his clients, especially amid the ever more automated world of bond trading. For him, it’s the personal touch that matters. And he finds it immensely satisfying to help clients’ create a long-term financial plan for their savings, and then identify the right bonds to execute it efficiently.

As a fixed income advisor, Mark works with both the firm’s wealth advisors and its clients to develop and implement comprehensive fixed income strategies. His duties include analyzing the fixed income portion of client portfolios and recommending customized bond purchases before performing those trades.

In addition, Mark serves as a resource for advisors and clients with questions about the firm’s evidence-based approach to fixed income and bonds. Because of the firm’s tailored analysis of each client’s fixed income portfolio, he works hard to build long-lasting and rewarding relationships with colleagues and clients. Mark considers that the most fulfilling part of his day.

Prior to joining Buckingham Strategic Wealth in 2014, Mark spent five years as a municipal and corporate bond trader at Edward Jones, where he built bond inventory and worked with financial advisors to help construct client portfolios. Before that, he served for five years as a government and municipal bond trader at A.G. Edwards & Sons Inc., then Wachovia Securities (now Wells Fargo).

Mark was awarded his bachelor’s degree from Washington University in St. Louis in 2004 and his MBA from the University of Missouri-St. Louis in 2012. He has also passed the NASD Series 7 and NASAA Series 66 licensing exams.

Mark and his wife, Stephanie, have three sons, Noah, Ryan and Blake.
