About Amanda
Amanda entered the wealth management field because of a strong desire to help people and empower them with clarity and confidence around their financial lives. For every client she advises, Amanda necessitates that relationships be built on mutual trust, confidentiality and respect. Coupled with her significant experience, having a strong bond with clients allows her to make thoughtful, progressive decisions that are uniquely tailored to clients’ needs today and in the future.
She strives to lead by example and incorporates Buckingham’s core values – a passion to progress, a passion to serve, and a passion to do right – into her everyday conversations and actions. The most rewarding part of her day is getting to know clients and their unique stories. She loves to hear about where they’ve been, what’s important to them, and where they want to go.
Before joining Buckingham in 2019, Amanda began her career in financial services as an associate at HGK Asset Management. Looking to expand her challenging and interesting work to all areas of a client’s life, she later moved to Moneta where she served as an advisor and gained extensive experience driving meaningful client engagement. Amanda earned a Bachelor of Arts in political science from Kent State University and a Juris Doctor from Case Western Reserve University. She obtained the CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ designation in 2018 and continues to refine her education and skills to help clients succeed.
Amanda resides in Oakton, Virginia with her husband, Sammy, and sons, Adrian and Alexander. She enjoys international travel, wine tasting and various fitness activities including marathon running and power yoga.
