About Amy
As an associate wealth advisor Amy supports the team in the Norfolk office, and their clients, by handling many of the behind-the-scenes details to keep them on track with contributions and distributions, as well as serving as a liaison to their CPAs to ensure tax planning and preparation documents are received in a timely manner. Amy tackles the administrative work surrounding a client’s account to support the wealth advisors and allow them to focus on their relationship with the client.
Amy finds learning new things a rewarding part of the job. Since joining Buckingham, her eyes have been opened to what it takes to “retire comfortably.” She feels financial planning is important as so many people miss opportunities to build their savings when they aren’t educated on them. She likes helping clients to build financial stability for a lifetime to come.
Prior to joining Buckingham in 2016, Amy held various administrative, sales and marketing roles in the manufacturing, giftware and nonprofit industries. She received an associate of science degree in business administration and is currently pursuing a bachelor’s of science in personal financial planning at Old Dominion University.
Amy lives in Virginia Beach with her husband Tim and their three rescue dogs. She loves to start her day with a morning walk on the beach and enjoys trying new restaurants and traveling to new places.
