About Amy
As an associate wealth advisor, Amy is an integral part of the Norfolk advisory team. She supports advisors and clients by attending meetings and capturing important details, conducting research, updating and presenting financial plans, serving as an additional point of contact, and communicating and collaborating with clients’ other professional advisors to ensure a holistic approach.
Amy joined Buckingham in 2018 through a merger with WealthQuest Financial Services, where she began her career in financial planning two years earlier. After joining Buckingham, she returned to college to earn a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from Old Dominion University, where she majored in personal financial planning. She then earned the CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™️ professional designation.
She feels quality financial planning is essential as so many people miss opportunities to build their savings or end up losing them to taxes if they aren’t strategic. Prior to joining WealthQuest, Amy served as a REALTOR® and held various administrative, sales, and marketing roles in the manufacturing, giftware, and nonprofit industries.
Amy lives in Virginia Beach with her husband, Tim, and their two dogs, Zeke and Chase. She loves to start her day with a morning walk on the beach and enjoys fitness classes, trying new restaurants, and traveling to new places.
