About Andrew
Andrew Schneider’s interest in financial planning was sparked by his father and the discussions they had around his 401k plan and saving for retirement. Andrew saw people struggle with real life financial challenges and wanted to help families and individuals avoid this pain and have confidence in a plan to help them achieve their goals.
In his role as an Associate Wealth Advisor Andrew participates in client meetings, capturing important issues and concerns the clients are facing, and then working with the advisory team to develop plans to guide those clients. The best part of his day is sitting down with clients, getting to know them and discovering the things that are the most important to them. Giving a client an idea they may not have thought of, that could be a real game changer for their plan is the most enjoyable aspect of his role. “Anytime I can add value to a client is rewarding to me and an opportunity to embody the reason I wanted to pursue this path,” Andrew explains.
Prior to joining Buckingham in 2020, Andrew served as a financial advisor with Lasalle St. Securities, helping onboard new clients and create plans tailored to their individual needs. Andrew began his career serving clients at Midland States Bank as a mortgage loan officer. There he walked clients on the path from pre-qualification all the way to the closing table to purchase their home.
Andrew received a bachelor’s in economics/finance from Olivet Nazarene University. He also holds the CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ professional designation. A native of Bourbonnais, Andrew and his wife Kirsten didn’t move far – they live just over in Kankakee. Outside of the office Andrew serves at his church and helps with youth ministries. He enjoys fishing, coffee and spending time with his family.
