About Brent
Brent Thomas is a wealth advisor at Buckingham Strategic Wealth. A native of California, he has over 20 years of experience as a financial advisor. Brent specializes in planning for retirement, income and estate tax, and investment recommendations.
In 1996, he was awarded the CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNERTM Professional (CFP®) designation. Prior to merging with Buckingham in 2010, Brent served as a Principal of Wealth Management Consultants, LLC. Before joining WMC in 1995, Brent began his career in financial services working with Lieberman Associates Financial Planning in 1991.
He formerly served on the Investment Policy Committee for Buckingham. Brent serves as treasurer for the Victory Christian Academy and on the board for the Sonoma State University Foundation where he serves on the investment committee. Brent is a former committee member for his son's Boys Scouts of America troop and a former board member for the Rincon Valley Christian School where he was a chairman and treasurer.
He received his B.A. in Management with a concentration in finance from Sonoma State University. Brent is married and the proud father of two children. In his free time he enjoys participating in his children’s activities like scouting and soccer and volunteering at their school.
