About Brian
One of the most rewarding parts of Brian’s job is getting to know what is most important to each of his clients. This is why each relationship begins with initial and ongoing deep discovery to determine a clients' financial needs in relation to their unique values, goals, personal, professional and institutional relationships, assets, and interests. He then puts together a far-reaching plan to achieve those goals, including gathering expertise to ensure that each component within the strategy is carefully executed and seamlessly integrated.
To give his clients the highest probability of long-term success, Brian is a staunch advocate for evidence-based investing, which brings logic, transparency and simplicity to the investment experience. He helps his clients understand the math, science and evidence, which allow them to make smart decisions about their financial lives and capture the returns markets provide.
Before working in financial services, Brian spent 17 years with a Fortune 500 national marketer and distributor of food services. In 2005 he made a career change and joined Dopkins & Company, LLP, working as an auditor and attaining the level of Senior Accountant. In 2007, he moved over to Dopkins Wealth Management, LLC as a financial advisor. He joined Insero Wealth Strategies, LLC in 2014 as a Partner providing financial solutions to individuals, trusts, small business owners and employee benefit plans. He became a wealth advisor with the Buckingham team in 2019.
Brian has a B.A. in Social Sciences from the State University of New York at Buffalo and a Master of Business Administration and Professional Accounting degree from Canisius College. He is also licensed CPA and a member of the Accounting Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the New York State Society of Certified Public Accountants. In addition, he has earned the Certified Financial PlannerTM professional designation and is a member of the Financial Planners Association of Western New York.
Active in the community, Brian is an Academy of Finance Board Member and on the Orchard Park High School Budget Committee and Internship Committee. Previously, he was Director of Baseball, Commissioner, and coach for the Orchard Park Little League, on the YMCA Board of Management, and a coach for West Seneca Soccer and the Boys and Girls Club of Orchard Park.
Brian and his wife Debbie have three children—a daughter serving in the U.S. Army, and a son and daughter attending college. All 3 children are graduates of Orchard Park High School.
Brian and his wife enjoy renovating their 1870 home in the Village of Orchard Park and supporting their children in their pursuits.
