About Chiara
As a wealth advisor, Chiara helps clients and their families develop, implement and monitor wealth management strategies in pursuit of their financial goals and a stress-free life. She also works with clients to create comprehensive financial plans customized to their specific circumstances, plans that include portfolio management, tax-efficient strategies, advanced planning, retirement analysis and education planning.
Her specialties include working with trusts and multi-generation planning, helping families meet their financial goals while preserving their legacy and passing on their important values. One of her biggest rewards is watching her clients, their children and sometimes their grandchildren achieve financial independence.
Chiara came to Buckingham Strategic Wealth in 2016 through the firm’s merger with Herbein Wealth Management, based in Wyomissing, Pennsylvania, where she had served as a partner and wealth strategist since 2003. Prior to joining Herbein, Chiara worked as a registered representative and financial counselor at Cadaret Grant and she reviewed clients’ investment, retirement and insurance needs. She also previously held a position as a financial associate in Vanguard’s asset management and trust services group.
Chiara earned her bachelor’s degree in business administration from Bucknell University in 1997. She also holds the CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNERTM professional designation.
While in college, Chiara was a member of Bucknell University’s Division I women’s basketball team and served as captain in her senior season. In high school, she broke Governor Mifflin’s all-time girls’ basketball scoring record, a record that she held for 19 years. The sport remains important to Chiara, and she continues be involved with her high school’s youth program as a volunteer coach. She enjoyed volunteer coaching Governor Mifflin’s high school girls' basketball team, which won its way to the PIAA Final Four in 2011-2012.
Outside of work, Chiara is involved with a number of charitable and community organizations. She is the founding member and steering committee chair for the Power of the Purse Fund in Berks County, which provides funding to help break the cycle of poverty by eliminating or addressing barriers for women who want to enter or re-enter the workforce. Since 2012, the fund has given back over $450,000 to organizations and programs that help local women and children. She also sits on the development committee and the board of directors for the Berks Conservancy and is past president of the board for Montessori Country Day School.
In 2014, Chiara was chosen from among 1,200 nominees to receive the Top 40 Under 40 award from InvestmentNews. Her award came in the “Leaders” category, which recognized individuals who bring innovative ideas to their firms, community and industry.
Chiara and her husband, Ryan, have two children. She enjoys playing golf and basketball, going to the beach, and spending time with family and friends.
