About Christopher
Chris works collaboratively and empathetically with clients to navigate each phase of life focusing on areas including investment management, retirement planning, tax planning, estate and legacy planning, risk management (insurance), and education planning. He embraces an approach to investment and wealth management that relies on evidence to help clients make informed financial decisions. He strives to streamline financial plans so clients can feel a sense of calm and confidence – that they have the freedom to fulfill all their ambitions.
Chris joined Buckingham Strategic Wealth in 2023 when the firm acquired Briggs Advisory Group. He had previously served as a wealth advisor with Briggs since 2008 and joined the firm as a partner in 2018. There, in addition to working with individuals and families on personal wealth management, Chris managed the firm’s retirement plan division where he worked with small business owners to establish and maintain impactful and robust retirement plans for their businesses, themselves and their employees. He put significant focus on helping business owners establish goals for their retirement plan and designing a plan accordingly. He also led Briggs’ risk management (insurance) planning services to protect clients’ hard-earned wealth, establish valuable guardrails along each phase of life, and honor promises made to loved ones.
Chris is a graduate of Bentley University where he earned a Bachelor of Science in finance in 2008. He completed the certificate program in financial planning at Bryant University in 2011 and earned the CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ designation. He is also a licensed insurance agent. Chris is a member of the Financial Planning Association of Rhode Island and Estate Planning Council of Rhode Island.
Chris enjoys spending time with his wife and two sons outside of the office. An avid sports fan, you can often find him coaching in his town’s youth sports leagues in addition to rooting for his favorite local teams.
