About Curtis
As an Onboarding & Integrations Advisor, Curtis works with new advisory teams and acquired firms to seamlessly transition to Buckingham. As part of that effort, he helps lead training on new systems and processes and helps new associates acclimate to Buckingham’s culture in an effective, stress-free way.
At the end of the day, his fundamental goal is to help his peers be as efficient as possible so that they can spend more time doing what they love: serving clients.
A former financial planner who enjoys giving back to his community, Curtis has always had a passion for helping others. In his current role, that means serving as a resource for colleagues and new associates, finding solutions, answering questions, and making challenging concepts simpler. As someone who has gone through an acquisition himself, Curtis’ experience often resonates with advisors and teams that are new to Buckingham. And it’s precisely this empathy that allows him to advocate for onboarding associates while addressing any concerns and smoothing transitions.
Curtis began his career in finance at TrueWealth Management in Atlanta, Georgia. He held various roles at the firm until it was acquired in August 2020 by Creative Planning, where he continued serving as a financial planner before joining Buckingham in 2022.
He holds the CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ professional designation and earned his bachelor's degree in family financial planning from the University of Georgia in 2017.
A Georgia native, Curtis currently lives in Atlanta. He enjoys traveling to new places, exploring new restaurants, and cheering on the Georgia Bulldogs on Saturdays.
