About Erik
As a wealth advisor, Erik draws upon his more than 27 years of experience to deliver financial advice to his clients. He also provides strategic direction for the team he built in Cincinnati. Erik’s clients can count on clarity, confidence and catalyst delivered by a team of advisors who are true fiduciaries and fiercely independent.
Erik was called to this profession after experiencing the loss of his parents in his early 30s. This was a turning point in his life and solidified his desire to leave a successful corporate career to start his own investment advisory firm dedicated to delivering high-quality, objective financial advice. He begins every day offering thanks for his many blessings, and he approaches his work with a desire to make his parents and loved ones proud.
Erik joined Buckingham Strategic Wealth through its 2023 merger with Oxford Financial Partners. He was the founding member of that firm. After serving as a certified public accountant (CPA) with Deloitte & Touche, he returned to graduate school to pursue his Master’s in Business Administration at Indiana University. Indiana led to career opportunities in brand management at Procter & Gamble and a stint as an officer of Western & Southern Financial Group. In 2003, with one child at home and another on the way, he launched what would become Oxford Financial Partners.
Erik received his undergraduate degree at Miami University in Oxford, Ohio, where he was a member of the Kappa Sigma fraternity and chair of the board of First Miami Student Credit Union. He obtained his CPA in 1995 and became a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ professional in 2004.
His formative years were split between Columbus and Middletown, Ohio. In high school, he played baseball and football (yes, seriously) for the nationally ranked Middletown Middies.
Buckingham Strategic Wealth is not engaged in the practice of public accounting and is not registered as a public accounting firm.
