About Mary Lyn
Mary Lyn makes clients her highest priority and will do whatever possible to assist them. As an advisory team associate Mary Lyn works on anything not investment or allocation related. She coordinates and communicates with a clients’ Buckingham team, as well as others on their financial team including their CPA, attorney, insurance agent, referral source, etc. She helps clients in understanding Medicare and provided a resource for supplemental insurance, and she can even help them register for Social Security online. But most importantly, Mary Lyn is a person a client can talk to, vent with, and help problem solve for things not related to their financial accounts. Her day is the same beginning to end - it changes constantly – and she thrives on just going with the flow of what is popping up.
Mary Lyn has worked in the financial industry for nearly 29 years, joining Buckingham in 2019. She spent 23 years with The Bank of New York Mellon. The last 16 years there she served as client service director-vice president and served as the primary liaison with clients, investment managers, third party vendors and internal teams.
A native of Pittsburgh, Mary Lyn bleeds black and gold. She and her family are huge Steelers fans - at the birth of all 11 of her great nieces and nephews, she gifted them a Steelers jersey. She loves to cook, and food has always been part of the heart of her family. Unfortunately, she also loves to eat! Spending time with family and friends is the core of who she is. During the pandemic Mary Lyn adopted a Lakeland Terrier and says he has done a good job of training her.
