About Mike
As a client service manager, Mike Orav supports advisors and clients in whatever needs they have. He sees to the day-to-day operational work and acts as a liaison to custodian partners. The most rewarding aspect for him is finding ways to make the complex problems seem easy. The word “no” is not in Mike’s vocabulary. He believes finding solutions open doors to future opportunities to improve oneself and provide a higher level of service all the while helping clients reach their financial goals. Knowing clients entrust Buckingham with their futures isn’t something he takes lightly. Each day he’s motivated to do the best work he can to give clients the dedication and care they deserve.
Mike has had an extensive career in the financial services industry. He’s held positions with Fiserv Investment Support Services, TIAA-CREF, Weatherstone Capital Management and The Institute for Wealth Management. Before joining Buckingham in 2018, he most recently worked as a relationship manager for Scottrade Advisor Services where he served as the main contact for service and trading-related issues for over 100 RIAs.
A California native, Mike moved to Denver for college, earning a bachelor’s degree in finance from Metropolitan Sate College of Denver. Outside the Buckingham walls, he’s committed to playing as much golf and softball as possible. He enjoys unwinding with local libations or pinot from his home state. He currently resides in Denver with this wife, Elena and their beautiful yellow lab, Chewie.
