About Patrick
Patrick believes a financial plan is only as good as its implementation and seeing the plan through is one of the most rewarding parts of his job. He loves helping clients solve their financial puzzle, pulling apart plans and discovering concepts that question industry norms. It’s fitting since he enjoys new puzzles, continuously learning and questioning the status quo.
At one point, Patrick considered becoming an actuary but realized quickly he didn’t want to be in a cubicle all day, he liked working with people too much! He finds helping others make financial decisions that have a positive impact for themselves and their loved ones is fulfilling. He also likes educating clients and providing them insight that keeps them on their track towards achieving their financial goals.
As a wealth advisor, Patrick helps clients clarify their life and financial goals. He and his team design financial plans built on modern portfolio theory and evidence-based research. They leverage Buckingham’s own industry thought leaders and portfolio management team to build investment portfolios tailored to a client’s unique plan. They also partner with CPAs and other client professionals to coordinate financial plans. Ongoing consultation with clients, and evaluation and adjustment to plans, allows the team to protect the goals and values of their clients’ financial future.
Patrick served as chief operating officer and chief compliance officer for BluePrint Wealth Alliance until the firm joined Buckingham in 2020, overseeing all business aspects of that firm. He also served as regional vice president at Zenith Marketing Group helping to educate hundreds of financial advisors and coordinated insurance solutions for some of the most recognized broker-dealers in the country. Patrick began his financial services career at Chase Bank, formerly Washington Mutual.
Patrick received a bachelor of science in applied mathematics and statistics from Stony Brook University. He serves on the board of YES Community Counseling Center and is an active member of the American Institute of CPAs (AICPA), the Financial Planning Association (FPA), and the Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM). Patrick also holds the CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ professional and Accredited Investment Fiduciary® designations.
Born and raised on Long Island, Patrick currently lives in Massapequa, New York with his wife. Coming from a family of electricians and woodworkers, in his off time you can find Patrick involved with a hands-on project either working on the house or building something. He is a gardener and enjoys going “out East” to the wineries of Long Island. Patrick does enjoy the occasional cigar (and appreciates them as his late grandfather had one of the largest cigar cutter collections in the world), and is an avid espresso drinker.
