About Sam
Sam Martin focuses on guiding dentists and their families through holistic wealth planning. He knows focusing on what, and who, is most important to his clients helps create a comprehensive plan to achieve long-term financial and personal success. He offers wide-ranging planning services to help clients address risk and insurance, estate and tax planning and other goals – unique to each client.
Sam has focused much of his career serving dentists and their families, focusing on profitability and proactive tax planning for dental practices. Through that work it became clear many dentists needed guidance on their personal finances and effectively building net worth for a comfortable and secure retirement. Sam is hawkish about applying tax strategies and tactics to all facets of his client’s financial activities. Keeping money out of the IRS’s hands and a strong cup of French roast gets him out of bed in the morning!
Prior to joining Buckingham, Sam served as a principal and the director of wealth management services and advanced tax planning of the Dental Group, LLC/Martin Boyle PLLC/Dental Wealth Advisors LLC. Sam is a business and accounting graduate of the University of Montana and holds a master’s degree in federal income taxation from Golden Gate University. He maintains a license as a Certified Public Accountant and holds the CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ professional designation.
Sam and his wife Lori live in North Bend, Washington at the foot of the Cascade Mountains. They enjoy the many outdoor activities the Pacific Northwest provides—especially hiking and power-walking. They are also proud parents of two recent college graduates.
