About Scot
As an Onboarding & Integration Advisor, Scot helps newly acquired offices and teams transition into Buckingham as smoothly as possible. He and his team lead training on new systems, processes and the firm to help new teams acclimate to Buckingham. He serves as an advocate for the joining firms whenever needed. His goal is to make the transition as anxiety free as he can for them.
Scot enjoys helping people and breaking down complex issues to simpler, more easily understood concepts. This is a helpful quality when engaging with new associates onboarding at the firm, as well as when serving the clients he maintains as a wealth advisor. His experience has taught him by not getting overly excited or upset, you can convey that calmness to your clients. He works to counsel clients, and associates, to set back and take time to reflect before making a hasty decision.
Scot received a bachelor’s of science in metallurgical engineering from the University of Missouri – Rolla and an MBA from the University of Missouri - St. Louis. He is a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNERTM professional.
Before joining Buckingham, Scot was in a different field altogether. He worked as a process engineer at Metaltek and a quality engineer at DaimlerChrylsler Corp. He joined Buckingham in 2007.
Scot lives in St. Louis. He is a fan of the Kansas City Chiefs and enjoys spending time with friends and playing poker.
